Omnia vivunt, omnia se conexa
Today, we report with heavy heart that we have lost one of the great luminary figures of the Grey School. Artemis Aedhlynn, known in the outer world as Bonnie Englant, or “Bonnie” to her friends, made her passage on Monday into the undiscovered country from whose bourn no traveller returns. Her transition occurred on Monday, February 26th. She was 56 years old.
Bonnie joined us in the Grey School’s family on September 6th, 2014. She quickly became a beloved fixture around the school, recognized for her compassion, wisdom, and gentle spirit. In her short time with us, she was many things to many people: professor, Dean, Lodge Mistress, mentor, and friend, among others.
Though we miss her fiercely, we know that our grief is not for Bonnie but rather for those of us left behind. We are confident that she walks now on brighter paths, free at last of the pain of illness. Her absence is a void in the hearts of those she touched, yet we take comfort in the knowledge that our grief is in proportion to our love and that our love will be with her on her journey.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to her family, friends, and loved ones in this time of loss. Though she may be gone, we still have the lessons she taught us as wizards and human beings. By living up to them, we honor her.
Fare thee well, Bonnie. You are, and shall be, missed.
